World's Biggest Lesson

Come stand up for education for children across the globe and listen to Dr. Karambu Ringera speak of this basic human right. Join us on Thursday, April 10th, 2008, 11:00 am. Meet, greet, listen and speak out at the Norlin Quad on CU Campus in Boulder, CO. (in front of the library).

Participants will have opportunity to sign a letter to the head of 2008 G8 Summit in Japan.
There is a movement across the globe, lead by the Global Campaign for Education. The target is to join millions in learning about the importance of education and the barriers that young people face all over the world in accessing quality schooling. Already confirmed is the participation of Boulder Valley School, Creekside Elementary in Boulder. Their entire population of 1st-5th grade (about 300) will be walking 3 miles to and from the event; honoring the importance “the walk of education” is to our world’s children.

Join school children and advocates of all shapes and sizes in launching an awareness-raising event to call for basic education for all children. Led by Karumbu Ringera and local youth leaders, we will gather to send an exuberant message to the world's leaders to keep their promise to the world's children for universal primary education for all by 2015! Participants will be invited to take this important message back to the classroom and join in the world’s largest simultaneous lesson on April 23rd at 9am MST. Let’s get into the Guiness Book of World Records for “The World’s Biggest Lesson.”
