Every Child Matters Training Institute, April 9-11, Denver

We are happy to announce that a few spots are still available for Every Child Matters' first-ever training institute on how non-profit organizations can conduct 501c3 allowable activities to help make the needs of children and families a top priority during elections.

The Institute, scheduled to take place April 9-11, 2008, at the Doubletree Hotel in Denver, is aimed toward individuals and organizations in each state that want to increase their electoral activism on behalf of children.

As those who work with children know, a large "investment gap" has been allowed to grow in a wide variety of social and health programs; this gap is especially acute at the federal level, which typically has provided states 60-80% or more of all funds for non-public education related programs.

Because of our concern about this growing investment gap, and because we are seeking maximum participation by all states, we are offering the Institute free of charge. There is no registration fee and all meals at the conference are included. Your costs will be limited to travel and lodging.

The Institute is structured to provide a step-by-step process for creating a non-partisan, public education campaign directed at candidates, the media, the public, and those who work at child- and family-serving sites. Veteran campaigners, organizers, and other experts will provide the concrete information and tools to help you spotlight the needs of children and families using 501c3-allowable tactics and strategies.

Upon completing the Institute, you will have information needed to join in a nationwide, non-partisan campaign for children and families during the 2008 election cycle

If you are interested in attending this event, please contact Tony Larson, Institute Coordinator, at

Sincerely,
