11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.: Rally/March at the Boulder County Courthouse

12:30 – 2:00 p.m.: MLK Birthday Cake and Lunch in the Cafeteria - Ballet Folklorico de Casey Middle School, Danse Etoile Ballet

1:00 - 4:00 p.m.: Human Rights Fair in the Cafeteria - Visit with representatives from various groups and organizations all afternoon. Be sure to stop by the MAU Table!

1:45 - 2:00 p.m.: Writing Contest Awards Presentation in the Auditorium - Youth Opportunities Advisory Board

2:00 - 2:45 p.m.: Poetry for the People in the Auditorium - Denver's Nationally Ranked Slam Poets: Representing three different Denver teams: Denver Mercury Slam Team, Slam NUBA, and the Minor Disturbance Denver Youth Slam Team

2:00 - 4:30 p.m.: Children’s Activity in the Cafeteria - Art projects, storytelling, music, readings for children ages 3-10 years old.

3:00 - 4:30 p.m.: Workshops in Classrooms
Stand up! Speak out! Against Bullying and Prejudice:
A workshop for high school students. Anti-Defamation League (ADL), Classroom, Limited to 25 participants.

Conversations of a Lifetime: Issues and Experiences of Immigrant Integration in Boulder County” Dialogues on Immigrant Integration, Classroom, Dialogue is a powerful tool for building understanding, sharing stories, and learning about experiences of others. Dialogue helps people reach across boundaries to explore issues, find common ground and create solutions. This workshop utilizes dialogue to provide a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful conversation about immigrant integration in Boulder County."

Rehearsal for Activism Workshop, Mothers Acting Up, Classroom, Gain the skills, confidence and practice needed to act upon your most passionate concerns! In a safe and supportive environment, the following skills will be taught: effective public expression, rehearse’ activism in the workshop using these expressive skills, engage all participants in actively devising solutions to obstacles.

Boulder ADAPTS, Classroom, Members of Boulder ADAPT will share the history of ADAPT, a national civil rights movement of people with disabilities. Like the non-violent approaches of Martin Luther King, Jr., members of ADAPT use direct action to break down barriers that people with disabilities face in society. Learn about how people with disabilities are making a difference in this community and on a a national level in today's world.

4:45 - 5:30 p.m.: Second Baptist Church Choir in the Auditorium - The spirit of gospel music comes to life and serves to recognize and celebrate the creative, historical, communal, and social significance of this music which has played a central role in the civil rights movement.
